Dissect my new campaign

Hi! 

It's Russell, not Monica this time. Since I'm not the publisher of this book, and I wanted to make sure there was a singular voice for updates, I haven't been talking much, or at all on this campaign. 

However, I talked to a backer yesterday who saw my current campaign and asked me a couple questions about it, and I thought that seeing a live campaign might spur some questions in you as well, especially since we have our live Q and A coming up on the 22nd. 

A lot of the book can be seen put in practice on my Dragon Strife campaign, which is live right now.

The campaign has been live since Tuesday and we've raised $8,600 so far with it. This is a short campaign. It will only be live until this Sunday, and I'm hoping we can pass over $10,000 by the time we're done, maybe even $11,000 or $12,000. 

This is a brand new series that I only started talking about with people last month to build hype. It's not something that I've had working for the last few years, so I thought it would be a good example of how to launch a new series on Kickstarter. 

You can see how I lay out a campaign, the tracks I chose, how I talk about the series, and all sorts of things that can help you plan your own launch. We've been taking people through my system inside the Sprint with Us group and some people have even launched successfully already, some even having no list at all.

Get Your Book Selling on Kickstarter (digital edition) Has Been Sent Out!

The digital version of Get Your Book Selling on Kickstarter is available for download!

If you have completed your backer survey, you should have gotten an email notifying you that you can download it now through BackerKit. Everything looks to be working on our end, but please let us know if you're experiencing issues at [email protected].

Thank you all for your incredible patience as this book got finalized.

We have rewritten, reedited and added over 100 pages to this book based on your questions, feedback and things we learned during this campaign.

The book is 77,000+ words over 23 chapters and roughly 400 pages in print. It's by far our longest co-authored project, but it's also the longest nonfiction book I've written.

Timeline

With a book this long, there are bound to be a few mistakes and typos still, despite having the book edited. We will let the dust settle for a few days, then fix the errors we hear about and get the print edition ordered. 

When the dust settles, we will also upload a new digital edition so you have a clean copy, and let people know in the backer updates.

Please, if you find errors, again, email us at [email protected] rather than posting in the comments on the project or these updates. We don't want to miss an error because it was in the comments somewhere.
